In exceptional condition, virtually mint.  Will now stay that way after cleaning and lacquering.  Four small cover tabs used so that covers could resonate. Superceded by the Marine Band Full Concert and the Hohner "AutoValve"

Hohners M220 Reproduction of 1907 "Trumpet Call"
Brass horned harmonica. Waited ages to get one of these, and VERY disappointed when I got it. Level of quality doesnt seem very good. Bad welding and polishing. Cant see any "Laser" work on box, looks like ink stamp.Catch broke on box opening it!  If you buy one check it first.
German "Nightingale" 24 Reed Steel Plates Dated 1924
Trumpet call case after french polishing and fitting new catch that was faulty. Looks a much better job now.
Real pity about the cheap plastic inserts though!

Below. Three stages in repairing comb on Koch Alpina. Prepare comb, cut replacement, and glue in place.Trim after fitting.

A fine boxed example in full working order, although a little out of tune.
Restored and repaired, three comb teeth replaced, case hinge renewed and case refinished. There is a tatty example in the Boston Mus. of fine Arts. See here

4 brass pinned plates, nickle plated zinc covers. 9 3/8" by 2".
Covers have "Made in Wurtenberg" stamped on them.
A well made case with green beige lining and red piping on the base.

Made by M. HOHNER probably sometime between the wars after C.H.Weiss taken over by Hohner. (1928)
Brass pinned plates. 14dh 28 reeds Tremolo. 4 4/8".
Notice that the covers are identical pressings to the above HOHNER "Regulation Band", but with a differnt logo impressed on them.

Made around 1940, probably during brass metal shortage.
