Hohner "Marine Band Echo Tremolo" Quartet. in A C D G. Double side 96 holes. 192 reeds, 15 5/8"long. 1907-1936.This example 1930's, has brass plates. (8 Separate plates) Awarded "Grand Prix" Sesqui-Centennial Exposition, Philadelphia 1926.
The box for this harp had the cap missing and the rest was damaged.This was repaired and a new end cap made for it.
It has a beautiful lable on it depicting the Hohner factory and the number of staff and harps produced.
Seems to have travelled well, made in Germany,sold in Mar del Plata, Argentina, I bought it in Canada
HOHNER "MARINE BAND TREMOLO" 1937 on. 96dh 192 r. Brass pinned plates. Steel covers. Star trade mark. 15 5/8" long. Wood box covered in burr paper. Yellow flock lining. This is the model following the above one. It has a completely redesigned back trade logo with the 1937 Grand Prix Medal as shown in the photo on the right. The earlier model had tha Stuttgart 1881 medallion as the latest. Also has different 'hands & cuffs'  Top covers are identical.This style of harmonica was made from the very early 1900's
The above medallions from the top cover of the box are the (Left)Philadelphia 1926 and the (right) ones are the Panama-Pacific International Exposition San Francisco 1915.
Has 'TREMOLO'
on the harps.
